By: TraceyD Reason: I own(ed) one Made in: 2019 Rating:
Love this tent. Up in about 20 mins plus pegging out time. Comes with pump complete with gauge to ensure inflated to correct PSI. Has attached open porch and a vestibule is also available. I would say this is a must have if you intend using this area as your kitchen. Once the vestibule is attached it gives a very large space. The vestibule zips on very easily and can be opened to one third, two thirds or fully taken off. The porch has no side windows but the vestibule has two full height windows to the front. When pegged out the tent moved very little in the gusty winds we had.
Inside the tent there is a good sized living area with three full length windows and one door to the side with mesh for ventilation. To the front is the main door with windows to both sides, making the living area very light and airy. There is also a ventilation mesh panel above the door. We bought the carpet which makes for a cosier area.
The inner bedroom tent comes with a divider which we removed to make one big bedroom. Good standing height and plenty of room to move around. The inner tent is made from darker material and we noticed a big difference with this.
The entrance to the tent features kampa's lay flat groundsheet, where the entrance velcro's down to avoid tripping. After one night we made a slight modification, as there is no zip along the bottom of the door it became a little drafty when the wind got up. So the next day we went and bought some stick on velcro to seal the bottom of the door, this made a big difference and think Kampa should modify this - easily done.
We paid just over £700 for tent, footprint, carpet and vestibule - very good price for the size and quality.
Overall we are really pleased with this tent and would highly recommend it.

Manufacturer's Description
A functional tunnel design tent packed full of useful features, the Kielder 5 Air is ideal for families, accommodating comfortable sleeping for five persons in a compact value for money package.
The spacious living area features daylight ceiling panels allowing much more natural light to permeate into the tent keeping things light and airy. The living area is further enhanced by the large Crystal Clear windows allowing for great views and mesh side door providing comfortable bug free ventilation. If you're in the mood for more privacy, blinds stowed in easy-store pockets beneath the windows can be used to cover the windows.
Weather protected ventilation can be found at the front and rear of the tent and the large front canopy further adds to the space this tent gives you, as well as giving you a larger weather protected entrance to the tent.
Darker material is used towards the rear of the tent, keeping the sleeping pods darker and limiting the amount of early morning light aiding your nights sleep. Other practical features include inner tent dividers for a flexible sleeping arrangement, inner tent organiser pockets and cable entry points.
